I have taught undergraduate and graduate courses at NTNU in Trondheim for more than 15 years, and I wrote my PhD thesis on the emergence of Norwegian horror cinema in the period from 2003 to 2015.

I have a strong interest in developing teaching and pedagogy, and in my work as an academic I find the time spent in talks and discussions with my students to be the best part of the job.

My teaching and research interests include the aesthetics of horror and the fantastic, genre entertainment, cinematic storytelling, emotional engagement with fiction, and the film experience as mental and physical health care and emergency preparedness.
